There are moments in a profession when something starts to change. Not because someone announces it, but because people begin to speak more honestly. Experiences that were once kept to ourselves start to be shared, and in those conversations, something important begins to take shape.

This is one of those moments.

The Weight You Carry in This Work

Every day, women in funeral service and deathcare show up with strength, compassion, and resilience. You care for families in their hardest moments, hold space for grief and complexity, and give so much of yourself to work that asks a lot of you, emotionally and mentally.

This work is meaningful. It is purposeful. And it can also be heavy.

There are long days that turn into longer nights. There are conversations that stay with you. There are moments you carry home, even when you try not to.

And still, you show up.

But so much of what you carry in this profession is never fully seen. And often, never truly heard.

We Can’t Change What We Don’t Fully Understand

At Funeral Women Lead, we believe that has to change.

Over the past year, we have heard powerful, honest stories from women across this profession. Stories of growth and leadership. Stories of burnout and pushing through. Stories of navigating expectations, finding your voice, and figuring it out as you go.

These stories matter.

Because when we begin to understand them, not just individually but collectively, we start to see where support is needed. Where change is possible. Where women need to be better supported, better understood, and better represented.

That is why we created the Pulse Survey. (You can take the survey now here.)

This Is Your Space to Be Honest

The Pulse Survey is more than a form to fill out. It is a space to share what this work has really been like for you.

Not the polished version. The real version.

The late nights.
The pressure.
The pride.
The moments that shaped you.
The moments that challenged you.

Your experience matters, exactly as it is.

Because behind every response is a lived reality. And when those realities come together, they create something we can learn from, build from, and advocate for.

Your Voice Has the Power to Shape What Comes Next

No two paths in this profession look the same. But when we bring those experiences together, patterns begin to emerge. Needs become clearer. Opportunities for support, education, and connection become stronger.

What you share through this survey will directly shape the future of Funeral Women Lead. It will guide the programs we build, the conversations we elevate, and the ways we show up for women across this profession.

And just as important, it helps other women feel less alone.

Because if you have felt it, someone else has too. They just may not have said it out loud yet.

Be Part of the Change This Profession Needs

Real change does not happen without honest input. It does not happen without people willing to share what is working, what is not, and what needs to be different.

This is your opportunity to be part of that change.

To share your experience.
To help us understand what women in this profession are truly navigating.
To help build something better for the women who are here now and those who will come next.

It only takes a few minutes. But what you share has the power to create something much bigger. More understanding. More support. More connection.

Thank you for the care you give, the strength you carry, and the honesty you bring to this work.

We are listening. And it matters.
